very nice for the price

Fans were very easy to install. Nice for bedrooms for the price. Much nicer than fans you may buy at big box stores for about the same price. Gives off very appropriate amount of light for the room. I bought 4 of these for each bedroom in my home and only had to balance one of them. The only thing I may have changed would be that the pull chains come down through the glass globe and you have to make sure they are perfectly lined up.

very nice for the price

Westinghouse Fan with Spotlights

We are really enjoying this product. It's being used in a bedroom. The switch that we used is one that not only adjusts the speed of the fan but also dims the lights, so one can have bright lights or just mellow out. The spot lights are adjustable, which is also a great feature.

Bad ceiling fan

This is a pretty crappy ceiling fan. We actually installed it and then took it down to return it because it didn't perform either of its intended functions - to light the room and to cool the room. The blades are designed badly and don't move the air at all. The lights shine straight into your eyes (and there's no good way to manipute them to not do that) but at the same time, don't provide enough light to brighten a medium-sized office. I would not recommend it.

Excellent fan!

I'm sitting under the fan now, and enjoying the quiet, cooling breeze. The air movement is refreshing, but not obnoxious. The fan was easy to install, though the instructions could have been more helpful. We've used the fan in a 12' x 11' room for several months now, and it's perfect. It could handle a somewhat larger room on a higher setting. The old one drove me nuts with it's noise (20 years old!), but this one is very quiet. It's saved us a lot as our AC can be set a bit higher or turned off when the fan is running.

Ceiling Fan for small room

I purchased two for a couple of small rooms. I was so pleased I bought 3 more. They all arrived on time as promised. I am technically challenged, so it took about an hour each to assemble and install. I had to read the instructions carefully and slowly but I did fine with them. They are quiet and easy to operate and fit the rooms that are all about 100 sq. ft. just fine. Although I didn't need them, there was one extra assembly screw and attachment for the blades in each fan. I like that. Too often one is missing. The fan was on sale, so I got a great deal and free shipping with the purchase of two. There are not a lot of options for 36 inch fans. No complaints, only praise.

The small diameter of these fans obviously limits their application and they are much better suited to small rooms or areas. Originally intended for two of them to hang in my sun room but eventually decided to use them in a large walk-in closet and the utlity room. They are satisfactory in these locations. Attaching chains to the switches means draping them around the glass globe which is not the best arrangement. In general OK for their intended use but not the best performing fans I have purchased.

Nice Fan but crappy light

I have several Craftmade Fans throughout my home but they are the "contractor" Craftmade Fans that don't have a remote. I was hoping to find a Craftmade Fan with a remote that had reverse on it but none matched my other models. So I purchased this ceiling fan with the intent to install the remote control in my Craftmade Contractor ceiling already installed in my great room (which has 12 foot ceilings). Sorry to bore you with the details but there is a reason why I am sharing this information. Installing the remote into my great room ceiling fan was extremely easy. You remove the housing at the top that covers the wires and the remote unit slides into a bracket. This took maybe ten minutes total. I installed the Cosmos Unipack in a spare room. The installation was relatively easy to complete. The directions that come with the fan aren't the greatest, but they are easy to follow. For instance, if you decide to use the shortest downrod (2 in) than do not install the cover that goes on the fan housing! Otherwise you will not be able to fit the housing that covers the wiring at the ceiling. This is not stated in the directions. I didn't require any help installing this fan or another person to hold it while I worked on installing it. Once I got everything installed, I tested to make sure the lights came on and the fan came on. The lights came on when I turned on the power switch. Just to let you know the lighting produced by this ceiling fan sucks! It has two 40 watt bulbs with the small twist end and it doesn't illuminate worth crap. Anyway, when I went to pull the chain for the fan I noticed something very important... There is no pull chain for the fan or light! I really should have noticed this right away and it makes sense not to have pull chains if you have a remote but I just wanted to make you aware of my mistake. Anyway, I didn't disassemble the fan but I removed it from the spare room (completely assembled) and removed the one from the great room (completely assembled) and switched them out. I also put the remote unit back in the Cosmos. The Cosmos fan seems to push more air than my Contractor Craftmades which is nice. But the light unit that was installed on the contractor unit produces much more light. If I didn't have recessed lights installed in my great room I would definitely buy several floor lamps.So in summary:Pros:Easy to installMoves descent amount of airNice StyleRemote works niceCons:No pull chainsDoesn't produce much lightRemote is largeRemote doesn't have reverse

Nice Fan but crappy light
