Nice

We were looking for a small ceiling fan for the kitchen, during a major kitchen remodel. After much online searching for a fan 42" or smaller, we found this one on Amazon. We ended up buying this in cocoa with a 12" extension (sloped ceiling). It's perfect for our needs, a very attractive and functional fan. If your looking for a fan for a smaller area I would recommend this .

Ceiling fan

I found this fan on several other sites for $10-$20 more than the Amazon price. Ordering was quick and easy- and it arrived very quickly. The hadware is very nice- and looks sharp with the Chrome fixtures against the black blades and I get few compliments on it frequently from house guests. Would recomend for a small space!

can be great

this is massive when measuring from wing tip to wing tip. around 8ft! would look best on an extended height ceiling due to it's size. very cartoon-ish looking. had an artist friend paint over all of it to make it look realistic. now it is fantastic. definitely have to add high grade glue to keep the wings from falling down. has NO lights. we added tiny lights to the underside of the wings to look like part of the landing gear. had a sky mural painted to the ceiling along with a "smoke trail" coming out the back of the plane. it is a show stopper now!!!

The wing tips kept peeling off. Not enough adhesive placements. We have to use a cement glue to keep the wings from peeling off from the ceiling. It didn't come with light kit/light. I wish I could still return this...

Very cool fan

This fan is awesome. My 3 year old loves it. Very large (8 foot) wing span, and it doesn't have a light, so make sure you have the ceiling space and another light source. I also recommend using a block of wood to lay flat against the ceiling spikes. They have to be flat to get optimal mounting surface. I used just a hammer and bent mine so I had to glue the plane decals to hold them in place. I am definitely impressed with the quality and realistic look of this product. Great buy!

Minka Aire Gyro very noisy issue resolved

Beautiful fan. Worked very well until this awful noise began when the fan was put on oscillating. This fan was only 5 years old. We can no longer stand the noise so it remains in one position only. Quite allot of money to spend on a fan that turns out this noisy after such a relatively short time. I have another Minka Aire fan that works well however that fan does not oscillate. If you'd like to see and hear for yourself, please follow this YouTube link for a video: [..]Update: After uploading a video to YouTube, I contacted Minka-Aire customer service. They paid for the shipping of the fan back to their headquarters. Since the motor has a lifetime warranty, I received my fan back with a new motor. I am very pleased with my "new" quiet fan. I received it today just in time for winter when this fan really circulates the warm air from the ceiling throughout the room. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Nice Fan for Son's Room

Even though this is an outdoor fan, it looks great indoors. I installed it by myself and it was fairly simple. It does rotate slowly though but since you have the dual fans rotating at variable speeds, it does not reduce airflow and you cannot beat this price.

Exceptional!

Absolutely beautiful and really moves the air in our screened in porch area. I had feared that the light given off by the one halogen bulb in the small center fixture would not be sufficient to provide adequate lighting for the 12 x 24 space. if anything, it's too bright! It would easily light a 24 x 24 space. As for the fan heads, they do not oscillate. They make complete and continuous revolutions, which is a very nice feature.

Minka Aire Gyro very noisy issue resolved

Quite allot of money to spend on a fan that turns out this noisy after such a relatively short time. I have another Minka Aire fan that works well however that fan does not oscillate. They paid for the shipping of the fan back to their headquarters. Since the motor has a lifetime warranty, I received my fan back with a new motor. I am very pleased with my "new" quiet fan. I received it today just in time for winter when this fan really circulates the warm air from the ceiling throughout the room. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Nice Fan for Son's Room

Even though this is an outdoor fan, it looks great indoors. I installed it by myself and it was fairly simple. It does rotate slowly though but since you have the dual fans rotating at variable speeds, it does not reduce airflow and you cannot beat this price.

Exceptional!

Absolutely beautiful and really moves the air in our screened in porch area. I had feared that the light given off by the one halogen bulb in the small center fixture would not be sufficient to provide adequate lighting for the 12 x 24 space. if anything, it's too bright! It would easily light a 24 x 24 space. As for the fan heads, they do not oscillate. They make complete and continuous revolutions, which is a very nice feature.

Happy with the purchase

Fan fits very well with the decor of our MBR and is whisper quiet - the only noise we hear is the air movement from the blade rotation. The remote is logical and easy to use, couldn't ask for a more intiutive layout. The fan is fairly heavy but that probably reflects the great quality.Light level is fine for our indirect bedroom lighting, but not bright enough to read by if that is your goal.We would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I'm not an expert, but...

This is my first ceiling fan, so my review comes from that perspective. The fan is not huge, but the four blades put out plenty of air for a small bedroom. Even on cooler nights I like to have air movement and the low speed is perfect. The medium speed is great for warmer days. Other than trying it out, I haven't needed to use the high speed. The fan is silent while running on the low and medium speeds. I can hear a bit of wind noise when on high, but not much. I'm very pleased with this fan!
