Got 2 of these for a long narrow lower than average ceilinged area. They're great. Really like the unique 3 blade design and the small led light bulb gives off more light than I expected (replacement bulbs can be found on Amazon). Even a person 6'4" can walk under with room to spare. The controller is neat, can work light and fan speed independently from a single switch location, no pull chains. Pretty cool. Well built and designed, just what I needed.

Nowhere within the description are plastic fan blades indicated. I expected "brushed steel" and received cheap plastic fan blades. However, the shipper PlumStruck did acknowledge the description is incorrect, advised it would correct the description (it isn't yet) and offered a 10% discount to keep the item or they will arrange its return shipment at no cost to me. I am opting for the return and will post how that goes.

I purchased 2 of the Minka 26" fans. The fan itself runs great but before you purchase there are a few decisions you must make. Asthetically the 26" fan is to small for the room. I wish I had purchased something larger just for the appeal. The small light is not enough for the room. Another very important consideration is do you wnat to pull wire from the fan to the switch. Most homes have 14-2 wire, (white, black and ground) for all Minka fans with a light you will need 14-3 wire(white, black, red and ground). You will also have to remove and replace your switch box. I suggest getting a deeper switch box also. I sent an e-mail twice to Minka asking for assistance and Minka never bothered to respond. The first wire run took me three days, total installation about 4 1/2. It wasn't fun climbing in and out of the attic, pushing insullation back and forth on a hot summer day. Minka makes a great fan but the switch is very cheap. There are four selections on the switch and from the off position the switch sticks so badly it is almost impossible to make an accurate selection.
