Fantastic and Expensive
By H. Lally
My wife and I have been looking for a ceiling fan for over 3 months, we tried Home Depot, Lowes and even specialty Fan/Lighting stores but had no luck. We were looking for a a non traditional fan without the typical 3 lights under the fan. I purchased this fan from Amazon and have never regretted paying the extra few hundred for a great product. We have 12 foot ceilings and quite a large bedroom 18' x 15' and this fan circulates Air great and the entire room is lite if you turn on the 2 75W bulbs. It is expensive fan but looks and operates great.

Beautiful Fan/light
By Christopher M. Tette
Tough to choose this sort of product over the web, but I was succesful here. I was looking for higher-end ceiling fans/lights than the typical stuff at Lowes. Minka makes a very nice line of fans. This unit is very attractive and functional. We like the ambient light of the upward facing fixture and the 2 bulbs that provide regular lighting are very effective. The wall control is nice, and I also purchased the optional remote control for it.

Fancy Fan
By pm
This fan is attractive and has alot of functions i.e., fan speeds, dimmer, top and bottom lights. The only disappointment w/ this fan (and all fans today) is that the lights are not near as bright as the older fans.

Amazing deal
By Keng Goh
We replaced an existing fan with this one and I was concerned when I ordered it that it would be cheaply made. I was pleasantly suprised when I received it that it actually looked quite good. Installation was relatively easy and it works like a charm.

Just what we needed!
By D. Chapman
Amazon was the only place we could find this fan. We needed it because we wanted to add it to one of the bedrooms and the other fans in the house match this one. The only difference is that this one has 5 blades and the ones we have already have only 4 blades.

Beautiful Fan
By FATCATSRW
This fan is a beautiful addition to our home. It has several (5 I think) speed settings and runs smooth. We added bright fluorescent bulbs which light up our large room when needed. It is super quiet and moves air well even on low settings. We purchased a down-rod for the fan which turned out to be tricky since the connection to the fan was smaller than the rod connection. We had to get an adapter for the difference and the local hardware store helped us with that.

Minka-Aire is Quality Stuff
By Blind Woodcrafter
Minka-Aire are high quality fans that actually push the air. The fan on high, medium or low produce zero sound. Very easy to mount - quality hardware. Everything is provided except for a phillips screwdriver & wire strippers. Quality wire-nuts, mounting bolts, Sticky back balance weights & 1 balancing weight that you can slide along the edge of the fan blade - "It stays in place; very snug fit, will not fling off." Out of the three Minka-Aire fans they didn't come close to needing any of the balance weights. You have the option of 4 or 5 blades depending on what row of holes you use when mounting the fan blade brackets. You will be very happy with purchasing the Minka-Aire fan. The fan arrived two days after placing the order & the packaging was factory packaged with the molded styrofoam to hold everything in place. I could not be any happier with this or any other fan. Also, I separately purchased a Minka-Aire K33-TW light kit that you just have to push the plugs together and tighten the mounting screws and you're ready to go.

Nice fan
By L. Rasmussen
This fan was ordered to put in our kitchen. It looks nice and fits the space well. The stainless finish is very nice and matched the decor as I had hoped. I do wish there was a darker finish option for the blades, the "medium oak" is actually quite light and has a high gloss finish. The pull switch works well and is easy to use. It would be nice if the slower speed was slower, it still spins quite fast. A few times I have tried to turn it down not realizing it was already on the slow speed and ended up turning it off. Over all I am pleased with my purchase.

Kichler Canfield 30-inch Ceiling fan with Medium Oak Blade, Brushed Stainless Steel
By Granny ;-D
This is a very solid feeling fan. We didn't buy the light kit.We haven't put it up yet as the taping, mudding, or painting yet.We have it put together except for the last few steps and it is BEAUTIFUL.There is only one problem for me which is that the blades aren't very dark. I was hoping for close to a dark walnut type of dark but it really isn't. So I am thinking I will try to lightly sand on the very very very pale side (which I was NOT going to use anyway), then use walnut colored polyurethane to see if that will work to make it darker. All else is very very nice. Very Solid sturdy feel.As to the humming that some people say happens...I was picking out a dimmer switch and the tech guys at the store said that for a ceiling fan you need a dimmer made for ceiling fans. There is some de-humming thingy special for ceiling fans in them, which is what I bought.So... we shall see when hubby hooks it up.I hope that helps some people.I will return (if/when I remember) and report back.*****************************************************************************************MARCH 5, 2013 -- I'm BAAACK! *BEAUTIFUL FAN! *WORKS GREAT!Only a very so slight hum on HIGH NOT much at all! VERY SOFT hum for high!I can't even hear anything on Medium & Low.It didn't work at all when hubby put it up. But AFTER thinking a bit he took off the switch housing and the ELECTRICAL Connections weren't hooked up! HA! so he plugged them together and WORKED WONDERFULLY!I did as I said I would & Put the dark Walnut Polyurethane on the LIGHTEST blade side(just in case I didn't do well) You have to sand the very nice slick blade finish as the Polyurethane just will NOT Stick to it. Kind of nice to have that finish as then I didn't have to worry about getting the other side messed up! I just scraped the errant drip or smudge on the side I didn't work on, off with my fingernail! So excellent is the original finish! You have to put the Polyurethane in a streaky type oak pattern so it is NOT just all solid brown but looks like darker/carmel-Dark stained oak.You wouldn't believe how BEAUTIFUL it turned out! Maybe some day I could do a Video but no time for that now!HUBBY is VERY PLEASED with it - even though he had his doubts about how it might look!I am SO VERY VERY PLEASED!I would suggest that the company offer a VERY much Darker Fan Blade color than just cream/VeryLightBrown sides to the Blades.I forgot to upgrade the https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWIwxPNmnwaMkAleCnZYHIJUBSrVsndJycjoGrRjlxRlH46VGpwzxIQddCo49ZZgRJhyXtiAvHXp4vqQjKgQAQNq62JZU2t8lboCTdyv01jOtv5SNJMoYKrAIDP2kjqfgEHtKM4sZoKGU/s1600/rating+4.png to 5 STARS! Great fan for a small space!
By tyniebubbles
This fan worked out perfectly for my kitchen renovation project. Even though my family and I have dubbed it the "baby fan" because the paddles are so small, anything else would have been too big. Also, thank you for the fast shipping; it seemed as though I ordered the fan on one day and it was at my home the next! Thanks again!

Nice fan
By L.

Looks great
By HoosierIUSB
I like this fan a lot, especially because it's so energy efficient. The only think that I'm not crazy about is that it comes with a balancing kit for the blades; however, I didn't need to use it. Other than that, it was easy to install, and gives off a tremendous amound of air circulation.
