This fan was ordered to put in our kitchen. It looks nice and fits the space well. The stainless finish is very nice and matched the decor as I had hoped. I do wish there was a darker finish option for the blades, the "medium oak" is actually quite light and has a high gloss finish. The pull switch works well and is easy to use. It would be nice if the slower speed was slower, it still spins quite fast. A few times I have tried to turn it down not realizing it was already on the slow speed and ended up turning it off. Over all I am pleased with my purchase.

This is a very solid feeling fan. We didn't buy the light kit.We haven't put it up yet as the taping, mudding, or painting yet.We have it put together except for the last few steps and it is BEAUTIFUL.There is only one problem for me which is that the blades aren't very dark. I was hoping for close to a dark walnut type of dark but it really isn't. So I am thinking I will try to lightly sand on the very very very pale side (which I was NOT going to use anyway), then use walnut colored polyurethane to see if that will work to make it darker. All else is very very nice. Very Solid sturdy feel.As to the humming that some people say happens...I was picking out a dimmer switch and the tech guys at the store said that for a ceiling fan you need a dimmer made for ceiling fans. There is some de-humming thingy special for ceiling fans in them, which is what I bought.So... we shall see when hubby hooks it up.I hope that helps some people.I will return (if/when I remember) and report back.*****************************************************************************************MARCH 5, 2013 -- I'm BAAACK! *BEAUTIFUL FAN! *WORKS GREAT!Only a very so slight hum on HIGH NOT much at all! VERY SOFT hum for high!I can't even hear anything on Medium & Low.It didn't work at all when hubby put it up. But AFTER thinking a bit he took off the switch housing and the ELECTRICAL Connections weren't hooked up! HA! so he plugged them together and WORKED WONDERFULLY!I did as I said I would & Put the dark Walnut Polyurethane on the LIGHTEST blade side(just in case I didn't do well) You have to sand the very nice slick blade finish as the Polyurethane just will NOT Stick to it. Kind of nice to have that finish as then I didn't have to worry about getting the other side messed up! I just scraped the errant drip or smudge on the side I didn't work on, off with my fingernail! So excellent is the original finish!You have to put the Polyurethane in a streaky type oak pattern so it is NOT just all solid brown but looks like darker/carmel-Dark stained oak.You wouldn't believe how BEAUTIFUL it turned out! This fan worked out perfectly for my kitchen renovation project. Even though my family and I have dubbed it the "baby fan" because the paddles are so small, anything else would have been too big. Also, thank you for the fast shipping; it seemed as though I ordered the fan on one day and it was at my home the next! Thanks again!
