I am extremely happy with my Delano II Flush Mount. Recently when my existing ceiling fan stopped working I started searching around for a better looking and better built unit. Our house is a 1926 Craftsman and so I chose the Delano II in Antique Bronze. The overall quality of the fan and packaging were first rate. The fan arrived undamaged without any missing parts. The build quality is quite high with substantial heft to the metal casings, deep rich colors and very nice simulated wood fan blades. The assembly instruction were easy to follow and fan went together without a hitch.I was pleasantly surprised how easy the unit was to wire. We had an existing un-switched circuit running the previous fan. This un-switched circuit was not optimal in that it forced us to control the fan by pulling the two strings to turn the light on or operated the fan. And as you would expect, these switches failed after a few years. What I really wanted was a wall switch controller!To wire the Delano II is really quite easy. Simply run a single 14/2 line to a wall box. This may mean that you have to snake a line but in this case it is only a single line that will end up controlling the fan speed, fan direction and dim the light. The wiring instructions were also very easy to follow and wiring the wall control unit entails hooking up a ground wire and 2 two simple twist connections. The wall controller then wirelessly controls the fan speed and light dimmer.Time to install including snaking the wire was 4 hours.

Initially, I was pleased with this fan. It arrived well packed, and the instructions were good (electrician installed the fan and he provided that comment). The parts fit together well and for the most part were high-quality. The fan was quiet and moved the air well in the room (room has 8' ceilings, and is about 12' x 15' in size). The fan looks very nice and is perfectly proportioned for the room. The control panel is nice and easy to operate.However, after a week the fan started making noise. After calls to customer support, a new capacitor was sent but it did not fix the problem. So the fan was packed up and shipped back for repair, 4 weeks ago and cannot get a status of when it will be returned. For the cost of this fan I would expect a better product initially and defintely better customer support.

We have had this fan for 4 years now in our bedroom. The fan has worked flawlessly. Very quite, easy to install and looks great. I would recommend this fan to anyone. We use the light as the main light for our bedroom and the current bulb has been in for 3 years. I will be purchasing two more for our other bedrooms.
