Easy to install, cool and quiet as a whisper!

There is not much more to say about this fan beyond what I have indicated in the title of this review. Perhaps, however, a bit of elaboration is in order.

A comprehensive and easy to follow manual made the installation of this fan a breeze! The apartment in which we installed the fan was already wired for just such a device, so that was not a concern for us and I cannot address that issue except to say that the aforementioned manual does cover the topic of finding and preparing the right space for your fan. With a space already prepared for ours, it took us just under two hours to complete the actual assembly - including wiring and installation.

The fan, with three speed settings and reversible air flow, has kept us cool through the torrid Florida summer and remains quiet as a whisper as it delivers its soothing zephyrs.

The blades are reversible, offering a choice of basic white or faux oak.

No light fixtures here if that's what you're looking for. Just an efficient fan that has proved, for this user at least, a quality product.

excellent product

I've had this fan for 3 or 4 years and I'm very happy with it. It's very quiet and you don't need to balance the blades yourself. Just follow the directions that Hunter sends with the fan and you're home free. Aside from very occasional dusting I have had to do nothing to the fan in order for it to run smoothly. I love the design the quietness and the quality of this fan that also has a very good price. Go for it you won't be sorry.

Excellent Buy

I purchased this fan about 3 or 4 years ago and I have only good things to say about it. I specially ordered it from Home Depot and I've been totally pleased with it. It is very quiet unlike many other fans I've seen around. One thing I can say about the Hunter fans family is that they are definitly quality fans. My mom only buys hunter and when she found out I was in the market she insisted I look at only the Hunter fans. I don't always do as mother says but this time I did and am glad I got an excellent fan with not problems at all. I would give 10 stars if theywent that far. I also like the idea that we have never had to balance the blades and no a bit of wobbling from the fan itself.

Pretty & quiet

Well Hunter fans have never let us down. Not only are they stylish and have a huge selection, but they are so quiet and really move the air in a room. We put this fan in our Master bedroom and it looks fantastic and we never hear it running despite being over our bed. Very classy and we love it!

Super quiet, easy to install

I used to buy ceiling fans from Home Depot or Lowe's and they promote their own brands. I was fed up with either HD or L brands because they force you to used special light bulb sizes only available in their store, and the CFL option is super expensive. This time I'm looking for fan without light but still will not buy HD or L brands. I did some research and found a lot of good reviews on Hunter fans. I bought 4 fans total this time and love them all. Can't believe how stable and quiet they are. Now I know what I'm missing out when I bought those cheap HD or L fans.

Super quiet, easy to install

Great Fan!!!

I'm writing this review because I always find it helpful to read others reviews when considering a purchase. I could only find 1 review of this fan anywhere on line, so here goes.This fan looks great and works great. The only negative would be the small lights, they are the small, decorative, max 45 or 60 watt bulbs. This fan/light does not put out a ton of light, but we didn't buy it for that. The light is fine, it just isn't super powerful. The fan on the other hand rocks. We had considered 2 other fans, but they both had questionable reviews as to the amount of air they moved. That is not an issue with this fan. On all 3 settings, you can feel the air, on medium and high, it really moves.We have this fan mounted in a large great room roughly 10 feet above us, it sits on a 5' downrod and then the unit with light is an additional 18 inches. It looks gorgeous, really moves air, and I installed a dual, single switch that controls the fan and light on the same switch and that worked out great as well. We can feel a breeze from the room while standing in the kitchen near the entrance to the great room. Airflow is not an issue with this fan.The only other issue with installation is the length of your downrod. Mine is 5 feet, so the motor wires were too short to run the whole length and running the stiffer Remco wires made it a bit difficult to attach the downrod to the motor housing, but you basically just have to go in reverse and pull the wires back through the top of the downrod to take out the slack so you can connect the downrod to the motor, and then put the whole thing together up at the base on the ceiling.Summary: Great fan, lots of air, beautiful finish and look, small lights, but we are totally satisfied and happy we got this fan. We have bumped up our thermostat 5 to 6 degrees and not noticed a difference in comfort.

Super Quiet, Great Customer Service

After reading all the reviews on Amazon about this fan I decided to order one. I have a very large master bedroom and the previous 60" fan I had just didn't move enough air. It also made little noises which drove me nuts. I'm very sensitive to clicking, knocking, ticking, ect when trying to sleep and needed a fan that was very quiet. This fan turned out to be a very good fan and I have listed some pros and cons about it below. The main reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because I just don't feel it moves as much air as it advertises.PROS:1. It's super quiet. This fan uses Hunters Anti-Wobble system and mounts in a way I've never seen a fan mount before. This mounting is a godsent for people like me and all I hear when this fan is on is the air it moves.2. It's fairly easy to install. Just follow the directions and it took me about 30 minutes doing it myself.3. Hunter has excellent customer service. One of the fan blade irons did not have the holes threaded and I could not use my brand new fan. After calling Hunter and finding out the irons were backordered, they sent me out a whole new fan to replace just 1 bad blade iron. I was very impressed with this and very happy with their customer service.CONS:1. Although it's a 70" fan it just doesn't seem like it moves that much more air then my 60" did. This is just my opinion and it very well could move more, I just don't feel that big of a difference. Also, because the fan blades are bigger the fan actually spins slower. Maybe its just my mind playing tricks on me. :)2. If you don't want the light kit, it's not the easiest thing to change out. You actually have to remove wiring and the light sockets from the switch housing. Seems like this could have been made a lot easier to do.Overall I really like the fan. The great customer service I got from Hunter and the quiet running of the fan have me sold on Hunter fans from now on. One other thing I'd like to add is a note about down rods. I have a 10' tray ceiling in the bedroom and orignally mounted this with the included 3 in downrod. I barely felt any air when mounted like this. After reading several forums I realized I needed a 12-18" downrod. I purchased the 18", reinstalled it and the air movement increased greatly. It's still not as much as I thought it was going to be, but it is 10 times better then it was with the 3" rod.

Great fan...poor light

I love Hunter products. I bought this fan for my bedroom because I wanted something that would move air, but do it quietly. It has a great remote control and different speed levels and it operates the light too. At any speed it is super quiet! I like it so much that I've bought a second one for my vaulted-ceiling living room.This fan is awesome in every respect, but one. The light fixture uses two of those new small-base bulbs. They don't do a very good job of lighting, even though I bought the highest wattage available.It was relatively easy to install and it's well-balanced.

The great customer service I got from Hunter and the quiet running of the fan have me sold on Hunter fans from now on. One other thing I'd like to add is a note about down rods. I have a 10' tray ceiling in the bedroom and orignally mounted this with the included 3 in downrod. I barely felt any air when mounted like this. After reading several forums I realized I needed a 12-18" downrod. I purchased the 18", reinstalled it and the air movement increased greatly. It's still not as much as I thought it was going to be, but it is 10 times better then it was with the 3" rod.

Great fan...poor light

I love Hunter products. I bought this fan for my bedroom because I wanted something that would move air, but do it quietly. It has a great remote control and different speed levels and it operates the light too. At any speed it is super quiet! I like it so much that I've bought a second one for my vaulted-ceiling living room.This fan is awesome in every respect, but one. The light fixture uses two of those new small-base bulbs. They don't do a very good job of lighting, even though I bought the highest wattage available.It was relatively easy to install and it's well-balanced.

Beautiful addition

The fan arrived very quickly and to my amazement, it was more beautiful than I expected. The detail is so pretty and the globe gives off a softer hue of lighting. It was very easy to install and is a welcomed addition to my bedroom. The only drawback (if there was one) is that it does come down quite low and would caution where you would wish to have this installed. My ceilings are 7 1/2 ft but the fan is placed over our bed so there is no issue. Would recommend at least 8 ft or more if being placed in a busy area and need the clearance. Otherwise love it!

Attractive, well-built fan

I purchased this fan as a replacement for the builder's special that was in the master bedroom of my newly-constructed house. The old fan clicked a little even at relatively low speeds, and we were going to open everything up to put in a remote anyway.Truth be told, my uncle did the majority of the work, and he was impressed with the build quality. All metal parts were solid (especially the arms that hold the blades), the blades actually had some heft to them, and the glass bowl was nice and thick. Hunter even included a few extra pieces of hardware in case he stripped a screw head or threads. There are several little things done to cut down any rattles, including rubber washers to connect the arms to the blades; metal never touches wood. After a few weeks of use, I've noticed that one blade is slightly longer than the others, but I'm going to look closer when I get the time; it might be something we did during the install.The looks are spot on with the current picture on Amazon. The blades are finished on both sides, so you get a choice of color (the one in the current pic is the lighter of the two). You actually put the screws through the blade into the cap on the underside of it, so there are no exposed screw heads or other hardware from below. The metalwork makes the whole fan look a little more traditional without being gaudy.The most important part: it's literally silent. All you'll hear is the movement of the air if you have the speed turned up. Mine is being controlled by a Lutron MIR-LFQMT-IV which has seven different fan speeds. There is no discernible movement up to about the fifth speed, and even at full, there's probably less than an inch of movement, even at the bottom of a 48" down rod (cathedral ceiling). I doubt we'll ever use it over a level three.Pros-Silent.-Very little movement.-Quality construction.-Mine had extra hardware.-Rubber washers and other features to cut down on noise.Cons-As other reviews have mentioned, due to the size of the lights and the thickness of the globe, this doesn't put out as much light as many other units.Final rating: 9/10.

Good for low ceilings

I've just installed this ceiling fan on a patio with a fairly low roof and it fit well in that space. The blades are only about 9 or 10 inches down from the ceiling.Installation wasn't too difficult but the Neoprene covering around the mounting plate did make it a little difficult to put in the screws.The fan did not wobble even on the highest speed and it did put out a fair amount of breeze on high.It was not as much breeze as an industrial metal fan but it is acceptable for its location.The color depicted in the pictures on this page (as of May 15 2006) is not the color of this fan. It is more of a reddish-bronze brick color.The blades on this fan are plastic with a wood finish instead of real wood. For me that's good because I wanted it for outside and the plastic blades should hold up well.

Perfect for the Porch

I love Hunter Fans! This one was a replacement for an older model that was damaged by a contractor. This fan is easy to install, whisper quiet, and looks great. I installed this fan on my screened porch, and it has been providing us with quiet cool all summer long. One thing to note - since it is made for outdoor installation, the fan has a visible white rubber gasket that sits between the ceiling and the fan's collar to keep water from getting down into the fan. If you don't like the way the gasket looks and your installation is not truly outside, you don't have to install the gasket. Overall, a great fan that mounts flush with the ceiling. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a flush-mount fan for outdoor installation. Well worth the money, so go ahead and take the plunge!

good fan

This is a nice looking, well made fan. I was concerned about buying this, or any other fan, because I have a sloped ceiling (only 1.5" in 12") and I couldn't tell from specs whether this would mount with the short down-rod (supplied) properly on a pitched ceiling. I wanted to use the short downrod due to limited ceiling height. No problem - the fan mounted fine with the short rod. It is quiet & moves air well - I am using in a 3 season porch 12x20.

6 Tips Measuring Your Bra Size

Approximately, 4 out of 5 women use wrong bra size for their breasts. Some wear larger bras, some other wear smaller-cupped bras. Women are easily tricked by the average bra size sold in the market. They only know that bra size consists of a number and a letter: the number represents the size of the band, and the letter represents the size of the cup. They don’t know that the number-letter combination is actually a fixed proportion between the cup size and the band size. I mean, the cup size of 32D bra is not the same size as the cup of 34D. In fact, 32D is wholly proportional to 36B or 34C. Think of it like a frame.

Besides, many women don’t know how to choose the correct bra for their breast size. Slimmer women should use a larger cup size, but larger women should use a smaller band size. Some women on diet also put this correct-bra-size-for-breast-size thingy. Gaining and losing weight also affects your breast size and, eventually, your bra size. Why do you consider resizing your clothing but not consider resizing your bra size?

Here are 6 bra size tips for your perfect breast.

1. Measure your band size

Use a tape measure all around your body just under your breasts. See the measurement in inches. Make sure you put your arms down. If it shows an odd number, try both bras below and above the number (i.e, 31 inches means you should try bra size 30 or 32). If it is an even number, then it’s okay. Don’t follow any advices to add four or five inches to the measurement because it is way too outdated and does not work modern bra size.

2. Decide your bra cup size

Every woman knows that breast sizes are different, but not many of them know that breast shapes are different too. Use your current bra size as a starting point to get the perfect cup size you need. Since cup size is relative to the band size, you shouldn’t use the same cup size with a smaller band size. Add one size to the cup size. For example, if you wear 34D bra but you measure your 28 inches all around your body, you should choose 28E or 28F. Don’t use 28D because it will be too tight. Follow UK cup sizing as a guide: AA, A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK, L, and LL.

3. Now try it

You have measure your band size and choose your cup size. Now you try it. Is it the perfect bra size? Remember, don’t only pick one. Try several bras. Lengthen the shoulder traps and put your arms through them. Lean slightly forward so your breasts perfectly fall into the cups. Try to fasten the bra on the largest set of hooks and eyes, and if it feels too tight, release it and do it again on the smaller hooks and eyes. Wiggle the underwires side to side. Locate your breasts perfectly towards the centre of the cup.

4. Check your band size

The perfect breasts bra size is the smallest size you feel comfortable to wear. The important thing is, you have to be able to move your fingers inside the band tightly. Moreover, you should also be able to put your fist right where the hooks and eyes of the bra meet. Feeling like that the bra size is too tight? Don’t worry. In fact, bra is designed to fit like this. But, if you feel that it is way so tight that it hurts you, try to choose bigger cup size not bigger band size. If it still doesn’t work, then try to increase your band size and lower your cup size. In the opposite, if you feel that the band size you choose is too loose, you could straight using a larger band size. Remember: every time you use a larger band size, you have to choos the smaller cup size.

5. Check again the cup size

The perfect bra size is the one whose cup size is filled perfectly with your breasts. It doesn’t create any bulging in the front or the sides. Check the underwire and make sure the underwires are placed on your ribs. If they are not, then you should choose a larger cup size. Perfect cup size is important for perfect breasts, because it will hurt your armpit and back. If the underwires are so tight that it hurts your breastbone, you should opt for a smaller cup size. Otherwise, if you think the cup is too small (or if you are not sure with it), try bigger cup size. Smaller size usually fits better, so give it two or three trials. 

6. See how it looks

Now you found your perfect bra size for your perfect breasts. See it on the mirror. Do you like the style? You can choose another style you like. Choose the right color so that the color of your bra won’t be seen through the shirt you use. After seeing yourself on the mirror, you should see that your bustline is placed on the right level. If it isn’t, then it actually is not a well-fit bra. Then, you need to repeat previous steps to find the perfect bra size for your breast.

Beware of lighting!

LOVE the look of this ceiling fan and purchased 3 for all bedrooms for our remodel. They are beautiful and I love the "whisper" quietness of them. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the amount of light is dimmer than I expected. I had ceiling fans with 4-40watt bulbs and wanted at least that much light with my new ones. Not so with these! I didn't notice that the 4-60watt bulbs they take are actually chandelier bulbs and they definitely don't give off as much light and I had to purchase additional lighting for at least one room in order to see properly! Also, they aren't going to be easy to change -- but I guess I'll deal with that when the time comes.

Awesome fans

Although these fans are a bit pricy, they are high quality, reliable and well worth your purchase. I have purchased three of these for my current home after owning Hunter brand fans in my previous home that were going strong after 10 years with no issues. These fans are quiet, operate smoothly and installing isn't that difficult as long as you follow the instructions. These fans will provide a long time of use and Hunter stands behind their fans as well with their warranty.The Stewart is priced very well at 147 here in comparison to HD.

Love This Ceiling Fan

I purchased this Hunter ceiling fan for the master bedroom in my new home. I really like the look of the brown/bronze sections of this ceiling fan. Once it was installed, I really liked it even more --- it just looks fantastic. The installer did encounter a problem with the regular down rod --- it seemed to have a defect in the grooves that prevented it from being able to be connected with the canopy. As a result, it had to be installed with the low profile or flush mounting. The light bowl is a muted brown color and produces more than sufficient light without the glare of some other colored light bowls. If you want a very elegant-looking ceiling fan for your home, I think that this one may be your answer.

Love This Ceiling Fan

I purchased this Hunter ceiling fan for the master bedroom in my new home. I really like the look of the brown/bronze sections of this ceiling fan. Once it was installed, I really liked it even more --- it just looks fantastic. The installer did encounter a problem with the regular down rod --- it seemed to have a defect in the grooves that prevented it from being able to be connected with the canopy. As a result, it had to be installed with the low profile or flush mounting. The light bowl is a muted brown color and produces more than sufficient light without the glare of some other colored light bowls. If you want a very elegant-looking ceiling fan for your home, I think that this one may be your answer.
