Five Minute Fan, it says on the box. Apparently that is someone's idea of a joke. I doubt a pair of electricians could get it done that fast; it took me over an hour. I'm a 66 year old woman and had no help with this so maybe I should mention that to be fair. That said, it's a nice fan and just what I needed for my guest room. The part that is a real time saver, and I like this feature a lot, is attaching the blades. The arms are already attached to the motor and all you do is line up the fan blades with a sort of clip they attach to. That took a minute or less. Soooo much easier than other fan blades.

It took a lot longer than 5 minutes (about an hour) but it is a good quality fan and looks very nice. We have to use it on the highest speed because medium is really more like low and low is VERY low but it is quiet on high. It wobbles a little on high but most of them do. It is a great bedroom fan.

Just installed one of these. While it took me far longer than 5 minutes, partly that was because the prep-work was extensive (I had to rip out an existing ceiling box that was inadequate to support this fan; then cut a new hole centered beneath a joist adjacent to the old ceiling box). To be fair, Hunter clearly excludes such prep work from their "5-minute" installation claim. Another reason this took me longer is because I was installing a control box within the canopy so that I could control light (including dimming) and fan (including speed) from just a single switch loop at the location of a pre-existing light switch. That made wiring the fan a bit more complicated.But kudos to Hunter for supplying clear directions -- and even extra screws and other parts. It was really an easy installation, if not a 5-minute one.The fan is quiet, well-balanced, attractive, and puts out a lot of air. In fact, I'm so favorably impressed that I just ordered two more to install in a couple of other bedrooms.
