Reversible Dark Cherry/Medium Oak blades let you customize your blade finish to furniture or wood molding. Easy Lock blades slide and lock into place for quick assembly, no screws required. The simple swirled marble glass bowl fixture uses one 26 watt CFL (compact fluorescent) bulb with up to a 10,000 hour lifespan. Pro's Best has earned the Energy Star label identifying highly efficient products with superior energy performance. Can be installed without light kit if desired. Designed for large areas, Hunter's 49-Inch to 60-Inch ceiling fans have airflow efficiencies ranging from approximately 51 to 176 cubic feet per minute per watt at high speed. I purchased two of these fans after searching for a fan that was high powered enough for good airflow and energy efficient. The fans came in the original factory boxes and I hired a handyman to put one in a low-ceiling basement bedroom and another in a normal 9ft ceiling bedroom. It only took about 15-20 minutes each, but he was a professional. The blades are two sided and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were coated with Hunter's special "Dust-Armor/nanotechnology" coating that reduces dust build up, which is great for an allergy and asthma sufferer like me. The dark wood side finish of the blades are very nice and the light oak-ish wood side look a little cheap. The light fixture is nicer and much whiter,with more detailing on the bowl, than the picture shows.One special 24 watt CFL bulb (GU24 base/100 watt light equivalent), is included and produces a lot of bright white,almost florescent looking light, (which can be good or bad depending on what your need for light is). The motor is truly a nice "WhisperWind" and has a good swivel arm joint to keep it moving and not grinding like other brands do.Overall a very quiet fan that cools and circulates well. I plan on buying 3 more to replace existing fans, so my whole house coordinates. I think they look much more expensive than $100 fans, especially compared to the $200-250 fans at the big box stores I had just been looking at that weren't even "Energy Star" compliant or had the same CFM's .

I have installed many fans. this one is not particularly faster by much. Although i love the fan blade mounting options. You gain time there. I lost a little time on the odd anti-vibration mounting bracket to the ceilign.I was a little confused as i am used to using the machine screw type connection to a pre-installed box. Seems like this is designed to ignore that and go directly for the stud through the drywall. Once i came to the understanding what they were trying to do it seems like a good design.If i were to install it again i could probably do it in 30 minutes which includes unboxing etc. It took me about 40-45 at the most.**warning, this uses some weird 2 prong CFL type bulb. although its a nice brightness and kind of cool looking bulb, i have never see this type of bulb, may be hard or expensive to replace. I have not tried it with a dimmer yet, hopefully it dims ok. Not all CFL's do.I am generally pleased with this purchase.

I have this fan hanging in my bedroom with a 3 ft downrod. I installed it about 2 months ago and it has been great. I picked this one because I wanted a bronze fan with a single white light cover and those are a little hard to find. I was surprised how long it took to install (about 2 1/2 hrs), but the instructions were fine & all parts there. The Amazon price was the best around and quick, hassle free delivery. The fan is working great, super quiet with not a speck of wobble! I'm very happy with my purchase.
