This fan is simply BEAUTIFUL! We bought it for our camper, which had a VERY cheap 4 paddle w/globe. It added so much class to our living area...and no cord to pull or get in the way of the slides! We just love it! If we ever upgrade our house now, I'll be using this type.

I had multiple issues with this item; partly because of the item and partly because of Amazon Warehouse Deals Inc.The fan itself is reasonably good looking and pushes a fair amount of air.Now, I've installed Westinghouse fans before, and I can't say that this fan is much better looking or much stronger at moving air.The installation is definitely more difficult than the Westinghouse fan:1) The motor doesn't lean off a bracket as easily, meaning you really need 2 people to install the fan.2) Attaching the fan blades requires the use of a putting a screwdriver through a very small slot/To be fair, you only need to do the installation once, so the average user might only waste an extra 15-30 minutes installing this fan over simpler models, but if you make a living installing fans, you'll be suggesting different units to your clients.As for Amazon Warehouse Deals Inc, they clearly sold me a broken and incomplete item under the description of "Used - Good condition". The bolts to assemble the fan blades were missing, the motor shaft was crooked and had crack lines, and the bracket was bent out of shape. It looked like a previous purchaser dropped the item on the floor, then returned it. I expect better from Amazon; they should have assessed the item more carefully.I had to argue for a refund, but I did get one. A+ customer service. Frankly, the item was damaged and thus dangerous. Moreover, I don't find it better than cheaper alternatives, which tend to be much simpler to assemble.

Installed one of these in my living room last summer. It looks great, is nearly silent, and moves a lot of air. Sits much closer to the ceiling than the "hugger" fan it replaced. In fact, I like it so much I bought another for my bedroom when we remodeled that room. One thing to point out, the wall control has four positions. 1 is high, and 4 is low. It probably says that in the instructions somewhere, but I didn't read them...
