Just installed this fan. Fantastic! Modern looking, quiet. The light is very bright! My home now has 3 Craftmade fans and I'll never buy any other brand. When buying a fan, you need to know the blade pitch. Anything under a 14 degree blade pitch is not going to move the air very well and you will have gone to the expense of buying and installing a fan you are not happy with. If the fan you want doesn't have this info on the package, do not buy it - call or e-mail the manufacturer first. Just because a fan looks good doesn't mean it's functional. 14 to 16 degree pitch is optimal. This fan has a 14 degree blade pitch. All Craftmade fans have a minimal pitch of 14 degrees.

I bought this same fan from Lighting Direct. Be aware that the remote is not-removable. Most wireless remotes have the "brain" receiver in the canopy which can be removed for use with traditional switches. The receiver in this case in well integrated into the motor housing. You can't get around needing a battery operated remote, but you can buy an optional wall control (TCS-WALL) that mounts in a traditional Decora style wall plate for under $50. Also, the included hand-held remote does have a large platic mounting base to attach it to the wall if you want. If you need to find the switch for the light often in a dark room, I would choose another fan. If small buttons are OK or you have another light in the room (I have additional can lighting), this is fine. Also, the L1 and L2 light control buttons on the remote do the same thing. The directions say this is for separate control of the uplight (not on this fan) and the down light. Both L1 and L2 light buttons switch on the same two 50-watt mini-candelabra base halogen bulbs to your previous dimming level. Dimming level is set by holding the L1 or L2 buttons down.Second note, the TCS-WALL control I mentioned has a switch on the front to cut all power to the fan in an emergency (or kid-proof lockout I guess). To make this work, you need a dedicated switched power wire going to the fan. Interestingly, the wall remote works unwired in your hand. The extra wiring is optional to make the emergency off switch work.My fan wobbles pretty bad on medium and high. Customer support told be to bend a blade mount to make it match the pitch of the others. If that doesn't work, they will send me a new blade arm. I'm still playing with it. Other than that, the fan looks sharp, has a quality finish, and goes together well.

This is beautiful fan was a great buy. It was not to horible to install. Comes with a remote. It provides much needed air circulation
