I was looking for a ceiling fan that would convey a bit of the "British colonial" feel I'm trying to put into my decorating. This fan's Tannery Bronze finish, large center lamp, nicely grained cherry-look blades, and general lines were just right. In fact, I bought two of them: one for an office, one for a casual living area. Both fans are suspended from 11-foot ceilings and work great. One note: the fan is supplied with a 4-inch downrod, but this was too short for my ceiling, which is angled at the top (something like a Dutch colonial). I had to purchase 12-inch downrods (one for each fan) so the fan would be the proper distance from the ceiling when installed and the blades would have free movement. This worked great!

Bought this fan for our living room. I installed it in about an hour, I like to take my time. The fan doesn't vibrate at all, perfectly balanced. The light on the fan shines down which is great, fans that point up or shine on the blade tend to make a flashing type effect from the light bouncing off the blades. This fan doesn't not product the flashing effect. Very happy with this fan. I also bought the flush mount kit and remote control, all Kichler. I am going to be buying another, same fan for my bedroom.
