The Minka Aire F802-ORB Vintage Gyro 42 in. Indoor Ceiling Fan in oil-rubbed bronze has a vintage look but is loaded with modern conveniences. This ceiling fan includes a light kit and is a stylish way to illuminate and cool your room. We recently removed a wall between the dining room and kitchen while updating the kitchen. The counter is now between the kitchen and dining room and comes around like an island. The slide in range replaced a "cooktop" with downdraft which took up too much counter space and I didn't want an overhead vent which would have defeated the purpose of removing the wall. This fan hangs in the dining room and solves my ventilation problem and provides awesome ventilation in the kitchen and circulates the air throughout the kitchen, dining room and great room. The fan rotates 360 degrees and goes either right or left which is awesome in moving the air which you can actually feel moving. I was a little reluctant of purchasing this item on line but I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Purchased the fan via Lumens (Amanzon referral). Good customer services and simple transaction. Website was not updated to show actual shipping date but fan arrived in 2 weeks so no big deal. Good instructions and a simple install with no headaches.The reason for the low score is due to poor quality control. After 3 weeks the fan needs to be returned. The central motor has a defect that causes a clicking noise in the housing and the remote receiver unit within the fan is not working properly (light will not dim).When I contacted Lumens they do not provide technical support but they supplied the manufacturer's support information quickly. The manufacturer was easy to contact and helpful but informal (i.e., no case number); the manufacturer said "Just tell Lumens you spoke to Laura."I have received an e-mail that they will ship a new fan at no cost. Nothing has been said about returning the old fan so that may be interesting.Two other items to note about the fan. It has good air displacement but it definitely noisier then a traditional ceiling fan. The dual blades create more white noise so be aware if you are sensitive. Also, the light works but is fairly dim so if you are going from a 4 bulb ceiling fan to this unit the light level is noticeably less.

These fans look wonderful and really move a lot of air. We have 22 foot high ceilings and purchased two of them. You can feel the air moving easily with the fan on medium speed. My only regret was that I did not order the hand held remote.
