Bought for my son's new high-celing bathroom. Very well packaged. The electrician was delighted because it was complete. He didn't even have to have parts to install the remote in the light switch. This fan is not only great looking (very simple/unobtrusive/handsome) but apparently it work great too. Really moves the air. They are very pleased (especially since I paid for it).By the way, we got the smaller fan, I don't recall 24-30". Works great.I'm tempted to get one for myself.

Replaced a cheap old ceiling fan in our bedroom with this unit. Even though this is listed as a "wet/damp" location fan, it can be installed indoors. Fan seems to be of good quality...it's very quiet, looks good, and moves a respectable amount of air. The "dark maple" blades are actually plastic with a faux wood finish, but it's quite believable and doesn't detract visually from the fan.The total time necessary to remove the old fan and install the new one was about 90 minutes. There are some discrepancies in the installation guide though...the number of screws that hold the fan body to the ceiling bracket is wrong, it doesn't show how to install some screws that have rubber washers on them, and the manual incorrectly states that there's a ground wire coming from the fan that needs to be connected to the household wiring's ground. This could easily trip up somebody who doesn't have a lot of experience installing such things. The unit also uses a tiny 100W halogen bulb (about the size of the upper two segments of your pinky) which puts out a LOT of heat. It would be nice if they redesigned their fans to use a much more efficient CFL or LED bulb.The permanently wall-mounted controls use some sort of over-the-air transmission to control the fan...it's not done through household wiring. The fan & light controls work well enough, but the control module is quite large, and was a tight fit in the smaller-than-usual switch box in our old house. There's a tiny on-off switch at the bottom that turns the whole unit on and off, but it's difficult to use and only lights up when ON (which makes it hard to find when walking into a dark room and is unnecessarily annoying when trying to sleep). I'm going to put the old light switch back in, and buy a portable remote control for the fan instead. The fan remembers its last settings when you cut power to it, so everything should work fine when I flip the switch.But overall, a nice fan and a definite improvement over what we had before.

This Minka Aire fan was installed in my kitchen when I remodeled. It is the perfect size for an 8 x 10 area. Moves the air well and the dimming feature on the light is nice. Good wall mount control included. I would highly recommend this fan.
